Fighting Global Malnutrition with Spirulina
The Intergovernmental Institution for the Use of Micro-Algae Spirulina Against Malnutrition (IIMSAM) is an intergovernmental observer to the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), established under ECOSOC Resolution 2003/212 on March 5, 2003.
Through strategic partnerships and dedicated goodwill ambassadors, IIMSAM implements various initiatives including humanitarian aid distributions, environmental clean-ups, and educational programs to support underprivileged communities worldwide. Our mission is to eradicate malnutrition globally through the promotion and utilization of Spirulina.
Mission
IIMSAM's primary mission is to eradicate malnutrition globally through the promotion of Spirulina as a powerful tool against nutritional deficiencies. We work closely with the United Nations system to support the Sustainable Development Goals 2015-2030.
Through our initiatives like the "Gadara" program in Jordan and other regional efforts, we provide essential nutrition and support to families and refugees in need.
Vision
Our vision is a world free from malnutrition, where Spirulina’s remarkable nutritional power becomes a lifeline for those in need. Through our One Bottle One Life campaign, every bottle of Spirulina represents hope — a step toward nourishing a child, empowering a family, and transforming a community.
We envision a future where every person has access to the nutrition they deserve. Through global cooperation and sustainable innovation, we aim to make Spirulina accessible to all, creating lasting change in the fight against malnutrition.
